NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- With the Federal Reserve's two-day FOMC meeting scheduled to begin on Tuesday, TheStreet's Brittany Umar wants to know what Jim Cramer is thinking ahead of the event.
Cramer said the market has not priced in a tapering announcement, at this point. When Larry Summers withdrew from running for the position of next chairman of the Fed, markets rallied hard and stopped worrying about a taper.
He added that the market has essentially decided that a decision on tapering doesn't matter -- which typically means that it actually will matter when the announcement is released.
Equity markets are no longer setup for disappointment and are looking for a completely benign announcement. Anything that doesn't fit that blueprint will likely send the market lower. Cramer went on to say that Bernanke could cause interest rates to spike higher -- which fell dramatically on Monday. To take advantage of this, he said he would be a seller of Treasury bonds and likes regional banks at a certain point, since they will benefit from rising rates. Cramer concluded that a rise in interest rates would result in a selloff for the stock market, but because so many things are going right, the selling will likely have trouble gaining any momentum. -- Written by Bret Kenwell in Petoskey, Mich. Intuitive Surgical's stock has been battered by worse-than-expected third-quarter results, which included the first year-over-year quarterly revenue decline in company history, coming on the heels of an underwhelming second quarter this summer. Fool contributor Rupert Hargreaves notes that the FDA's initiated an investigation on Intuitive's da Vinci surgical robotics systems, after it found several discrepancies in its incident reports. As a result, quarterly sales of the da Vinci declined from 155 units to 101 units, a drop that can only be partly blamed on slowing demand for medical devices in the U.S. Intuitive may have underperformed compared to recently acquired MAKO Surgical (NASDAQ: MAKO ) and Accuray (NASDAQ: ARAY ) over the past year, but it remains the 800-pound gorilla among these industry peers.

Another biotechnology player that insiders are snapping up a large amount of stock in here is Theravance (THRX), which is a royalty management company, that is focused on developing respiratory products. Insiders are buying this stock into major weakness, since shares have collapsed badly so far in 2014 by 59%.
Theravance has a market cap of $1.6 billion and an enterprise value of $2 billion. This stock trades at a premium valuation, with a price-to-sales of 578.58. Its estimated growth rate for this year is 17.4%, and for next year it's pegged at 92%. This is not a cash-rich company, since the total cash position on its balance sheet is $310.86 million and its total debt is $705.11 million. This stock currently sports a dividend yield of 3.3%.
A beneficial owner just bought 832,456 shares, or around $12.78 million worth of stock, at $15.36 per share.
From a technical perspective, THRX is currently trending well below both its 50-day and 200-day moving averages, which is bearish. This stock has been downtrending badly for the last four months, with shares dropping from its high of $31.45 to its new 52-week low of $14.50 a share. During that downtrend, shares of THRX have been making mostly lower highs and lower lows, which is bearish technical price action.
If you're in the bull camp on THRX, then I would look for long-biased trades as long as this stock is trending above its new 52-week low of $14.50 a share and then once it breaks out above some key near-term overhead resistance levels at $16.61 to its 50-day moving average of $17.94 a share and then above more resistance at $18.68 a share with high volume. Look for a sustained move or close above those levels with volume that hits near or above its three-month average action of 824,188 shares. If that breakout triggers soon, then THRX will set up to re-test or possibly take out its next major overhead resistance levels at $21 to $22, or even its 200-day moving average of $23.58 a sh
